Purple and Black
Taking Independent and Unofficial Back

What you playing right now?

Considering this song kinda throws me in frenzy i probably shouldn't be listening to it at 3:10 AM lol. It's my birthday so whatever. It's YOLO baby!;)

Straight up, i got mixed feelings about certain aspects of this video. The song is bad ass though, so I'm good. And props to Moses. I'm definitely gonna check out more of his music.

I'm slightly late to the newdad party. I'm just glad i made it though, because their debut album(MADRA) is fire! I don't think there's a bad track on it.. Give it a listen!

I hope it’s not annoying. . . I’m always throwing in links to things I find that somehow interest or enlighten me. I assume others might like to read the same. So. Here I go again: an interview with Yota, who I had to look up because I know nothing of her or of retrowave.

She gives a shout out to Prince at the end.

@JoeyCee - thanks for the Moses Sumney video. I found he won an award for this next music video. And for another one called ‘Cut Me’.

Came back and listened to this on 2.21.25. The dead horse scene is disturbing. I was wondering about it. Then, when I was looking at the credits, I saw a name that was mentioned 'in thanks to': Berlinde De Bruyckere. A rabbit hole!!! Down I went and this is what I found.

Suffering and Desire: A Conversation with Berlinde De Bruyckere [Sculpture magazine;12.20.2019]
The dead horses in the video are actually sculptures by this person, Berlinde De Bruyckere.

Here's more about her from Wikipedia [2.21.25]: Berlinde De Bruyckere

I post this stuff on Facebook and It's usually so quiet that you can hear crickets chirping.
