Thanks maplenpg. Please don't stress if you are unable to give anything, and thank you for not slamming me for posting the link.
As far as the whole health insurance, health system debate goes, I try to learn as much as possible as I go through life, here in the USA and other countries. I'm with you about the things that hit hard in the gut. I can barely type this without tearing up as I start to think about it.
Why, can these illnesses not be cured?
I believe deep down, as in with every part of my being, that our emotional and mental health is probably the single most thing that effects the "physical". And until emotional, mental and physical health stop being treated separately, there will be sickness.
I feel like if I state my opinion relating to my experiences over the years, dealing with health insurance, medical professionals, etc. etc. etc. that I will be perceived as a problem patient. The most frustrating thing that I have faced over and over again is the idea that some medical professionals, etc. claim/state they have no control over insurance and what it covers, etc. Then it becomes a situation of, if I am challenging the system, am I going to get in trouble?
Maplenpg, I'd like to ask you what is the benefit to privatizing the NHS? Is it purely financial as in will it limit liability of the medical professionals?
I wonder if deep down, everybody is in the same position, we just aren't educated enough (or don't believe we are) to be able to help things?
It's a very stressful situation all around.
